    Owner and history

The Château Fonplégade vineyard covers 18.5 hectares in the heart of Saint-Émilion. The terroirs are quite diverse, with the grape varieties distributed between 91% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon. Since 2013, the current owners have chosen to practice organic viticulture and are now converting to biodynamic farming. The terroir is a mix of limestone and clay.

    Vinification and aging

    - Vineyard managed according to biodynamic principles
    - Hand-harvested grapes
    - French oak vats and cement vats
