The vineyard of Château Rauzan-Ségla extends over gravel and clay soils, typical of the region of Margaux. This exceptional terroir, bathed in the maritime influences of the Atlantic, allows for optimal grape ripening. The vines, averaging 30 years old, are cultivated with care to ensure low yields, thus guaranteeing optimal quality. Owner and history

THE Château Rauzan-Ségla currently belongs to the House of Chanel, which has managed to restore to domaine its credentials. Under the direction of the winemaking team led by the talented director, cultivation and winemaking methods have been modernized while respecting traditions. This approach has allowed for improvements in the quality of the wines, while preserving the unique identity of Rauzan-Ségla. Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Rauzan-Ségla Winemaking is a meticulous art, blending tradition and innovation. The carefully selected grapes are vinified separately according to their plots. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks to preserve the freshness of the aromas. Aging occurs in oak barrels, some of which are new, for 12 to 18 months, adding further complexity to the wine. This attention to detail at each stage of the winemaking process results in a wine of great finesse and a beautiful tannic structure.
