The vineyard of Château Angélus The vineyards extend across exceptional terroirs, characterized by clay-limestone soils and well-exposed slopes. This privileged location allows for excellent grape ripening, enhanced by optimal sunshine and cool nights. The vines, some several decades old, are cultivated with care and complete respect for the environment. Each plot is meticulously tended to preserve biodiversity and guarantee the quality of the grapes. This viticultural approach results in wines of great expression, true to their terroir.

Owner and history

Today, the Château Angélus is managed by the de Boüard de Laforest family, who continue to infuse their love of wine and ancestral know-how into each vintage. Their vision is clear: to produce wines that reflect the unique identity of their terroir while respecting the values of sustainability and innovation. Under their direction, the domaine has managed to modernize while preserving its heritage, making the Château Angélus an essential reference in the world of fine Bordeaux wines.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Angélus It is a meticulous process, combining tradition and innovation. The grapes, carefully harvested by hand, are rigorously sorted to retain only the very best. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, allowing for optimal temperature control. Aging, which lasts several months in oak barrels, gives the wines their complexity and aromatic richness.
