Château Angélus , an emblem of the Saint-Émilion appellation, embodies Bordeaux excellence. Nestled on clay-limestone slopes, it produces wines of great complexity and finesse.
At the beginning of the 20th century, Maurice de Boüard de Laforest inherited the family estate, which he enlarged in 1920 by adding a three-hectare enclosure, named l'Angélus, under the influence of his wife. Elisabeth Bouchet. She will manage the estate after her death and pass it on to her children.
This special cuvée was first produced in 2016 and is only made in exceptional vintages. 2022 is the 5th vintage produced, with only 2478 bottles made.
This vintage comes from the oldest Cabernet Franc plots on the estate and is distinguished by aging for 22 months in large oak casks.
No detail is overlooked: Each bottle is numbered on the back label, the neck is waxed, and the wax comes from the estate's own bees. The bottle is presented in a light oak box lined with tan leather. A leaflet in French and English is included.
International release Sept. 2025 - Very limited quantity.
