Tasting notes

Château Palmer 2024 boasts an intense garnet robe with violet highlights. The nose, subtle and refined, opens with notes of blackcurrant, blackberry, and violet, enhanced by hints of precious wood and truffle. On the palate, the texture is silky, the tannins perfectly integrated. The finish is remarkably long, offering nuances of graphite and candied black fruit. A great wine built for aging.

The Château Palmer vineyard rests on Günzian gravel, mixed with clay and fine sand, providing optimal drainage and a rich minerality. The vines, averaging 35 years old, benefit from a temperate oceanic climate that promotes slow and even ripening of the grapes. Cultivated according to biodynamic principles, they allow for a pure expression of the terroir in each cluster, guaranteeing wines of remarkable precision and depth.

Owner and history

Since 2004, Château Palmer has been managed by Thomas Duroux, a trained oenologist and former director of Tenuta Dell'Ornellaia. Under his leadership, the estate has committed to sustainable viticulture, pushing biodynamic practices to a level of excellence rarely seen in Bordeaux. Surrounded by a passionate team, he strives to enhance the terroir by producing wines of remarkable purity. His vision combines respect for nature, controlled technical innovations, and a desire to pass on a living heritage to future generations.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process is carried out on a plot-by-plot basis, in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with gentle extractions to preserve the elegance of the fruit.
Château Palmer 2024 is then aged for 20 to 22 months in French oak barrels, 50% of which are new, allowing for a subtle marriage of wood and grain. This meticulous care gives the wine its elegant structure, complexity, and impressive aging potential.
