The vineyard of Château Cos d'Estournel extends across hillsides well exposed to the sun, benefiting from a climat Temperate oceanic climate. The soils are composed of gravel, clay, and limestone, providing excellent drainage and promoting grape ripening. Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Cos d'Estournel is a meticulous art. The grapes, harvested by hand, are carefully selected before being destemmed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, allowing for optimal temperature control. After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, for 18 months. This careful aging process imparts subtle aromas and added complexity to the wine. Bottling is done without fining, in order to preserve the integrity of the wine, true to the spirit of the domaine.
