The Domaine Faiveley vineyard is located on the slopes of Gevrey-Chambertin, where the continental climate provides ideal conditions for growing Pinot Noir. The soils, composed primarily of marl and limestone, are rich in minerals, lending great complexity to the wines. The estate practices sustainable viticulture, respecting natural cycles to promote biodiversity. This unique terroir, combined with precise cultivation practices, allows the full expression of the grape variety and the region.

Owner and history

Domaine Faiveley is run by the Faiveley family, whose passion for wine has been passed down through generations. Today, Erwan Faiveley represents the seventh generation at the helm. Drawing on his experience and vision, he continues to innovate while respecting the traditions that have made the estate famous. The family's commitment to quality and authenticity is reflected in every bottle produced, making each vintage a true tribute to their land and their history.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Faiveley is a meticulously mastered art. The grapes are harvested by hand, ensuring rigorous selection. After delicate destemming, the berries are placed in vats for alcoholic fermentation, which lasts approximately two to three weeks. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, for a period of 12 to 18 months. This aging process allows the subtle integration of oak aromas while preserving the freshness and purity of the fruit. Each step is carried out with care to obtain a balanced and harmonious wine.
