On the nose, aromas of black cherry and raspberry mingle with spicy and floral notes, reminiscent of violet. On the palate, the texture is velvety, with well-integrated tannins and a lovely acidity that provides freshness and length. The Domaine Faiveley vineyard is located in the prestigious Côte de Nuits, where the clay-limestone soil perfectly complements the Pinot Noir grape. The vines, often several decades old, have their roots firmly planted in a mineral-rich terroir, resulting in exceptionally high-quality grapes. The temperate climate, with sunny summers and cold winters, contributes to the ideal ripening of the grapes, producing wines of great aromatic complexity.

    Owner and history

Domaine Faiveley is now run by the sixth generation of the family, under the leadership of Erwan Faiveley. Passionate about his heritage, Erwan has successfully combined tradition and innovation, ensuring that each wine reflects the unique identity of its terroir. Under his guidance, the estate continues to produce exceptional wines, while respecting sustainable practices and valuing the environment. The Faiveley family's vision is to pass on their unparalleled expertise to future generations.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Faiveley is a meticulous process that respects Burgundian traditions while incorporating modern techniques. The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully sorted before being destemmed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, allowing for optimal temperature management. Aging occurs in oak barrels, a proportion of which are new, for 12 to 18 months, giving the wine a rich structure and complex aromas while preserving the purity of the fruit.
