The Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru vineyard is situated on well-exposed slopes, benefiting from a temperate climate and optimal sunshine. The soil, composed of calcareous marl and clay, promotes natural drainage while retaining the moisture necessary for the vines to thrive. These ideal conditions allow the Pinot Noir to flourish, giving the grapes remarkable aromatic complexity and tannic structure.

Owner and history

Today, Domaine Faiveley is run by the Faiveley family, who continue to uphold the family tradition with passion and dedication. The current owners, Erwan and his father, François Faiveley, are committed to preserving the estate's heritage while innovating to meet contemporary challenges. Their respectful approach to the terroir and their pursuit of excellence demonstrate their desire to produce characterful wines, recognized and appreciated by wine lovers worldwide.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Faiveley is a meticulous process, respecting Burgundian traditions while incorporating modern techniques. The carefully selected grapes are destemmed and fermented in wooden vats, allowing for a gentle extraction of tannins. Aging takes place in oak barrels, some of which are new, for 12 to 18 months. This attention to detail at each stage of the winemaking process allows the terroir to express itself and results in a wine of great finesse and complexity.
