    Owner and history

The Chambertin Clos de Bèze vineyard rests on deep limestone soils, rich in clay, allowing the old vines to draw all the minerality necessary for producing an intense wine. This unique terroir in the Côte de Nuits gives the wines a rare expression and exceptional aging potential.

    Vinification and aging

The winemaking process adheres to Burgundian traditions, with hand-harvesting and rigorous selection of the grapes. Fermentation takes place in open vats with precise temperature control to preserve the delicate aromas of the Pinot Noir.
This Chambertin Clos de Bèze is then aged in oak barrels for approximately 18 months, a third of which are new, imparting subtle and elegant notes without ever overpowering the wine's character. This aging method reveals the full complexity and depth of the terroir, giving the wine a velvety texture and excellent aging potential. Bruno Clair prioritizes a perfect balance between power and refinement, thus offering a wine built for cellaring.
