Producer

The Château Figeac vineyard is cultivated on clay-limestone soils, characteristic of the Saint-Émilion region. These terroirs, which combine drainage and water retention, promote optimal grape ripeness. The vineyard is meticulously maintained using sustainable practices, allowing the vines to flourish while respecting the environment. Each plot is vinified separately to preserve the typicity of each grape variety, thus guaranteeing blends of great complexity and consistent quality.

Owner and history

Currently, Château Figeac is managed by the Manoncourt family, who perpetuate a tradition of excellence and passion for winemaking. Under their leadership, the estate has experienced a renaissance, combining ancestral know-how with modern techniques. They have preserved the spirit of the terroir while innovating to improve the quality of the wines. This family-oriented and committed approach makes Petit Figeac a wine that reflects not only the terroir but also the history and passion of its owners.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process for Petit Figeac 2017 is carried out with the utmost care. After a manual harvest, the grapes are destemmed and gently pressed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled vats to maintain the temperature and preserve the aromas. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, for 12 to 16 months. This aging process allows the tannins to integrate and enriches the wine with a complex aromatic profile, while preserving the freshness and elegance characteristic of great Saint-Émilion wines.
