    Owner and history

The Puligny-Montrachet vineyard is one of the most prestigious in the Côte de Beaune, renowned for producing some of the world's greatest white wines. The temperate climate, combined with clay-limestone soils, provides ideal conditions for the expression of Chardonnay. The Les Pucelles plot, located just below the Grand Cru Bâtard-Montrachet, benefits from excellent exposure and deep soil that allows the roots to capture all the mineral richness of the terroir.

    Vinification and aging

At Joseph Drouhin, winemaking is an art. The grapes are harvested by hand, then gently pressed to preserve their aromatic purity. Fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, 30% of which are new, imparting a subtle woody complexity. Aging on fine lees for 12 to 15 months further refines the texture and enhances the wine's depth.
