    Owner and history

Located in the heart of the Graves region, in the commune of Talence, Château La Mission Haut-Brion faces Château Haut-Brion, forming a single entity. The gravelly soils rest on a unique subsoil of clay, sand, limestone, and falun (a type of volcanic rock). Of the estate's 29 hectares, 25 are dedicated to red grape varieties such as Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Cabernet Franc.

    Vinification and aging

The grapes are harvested by hand. Only the finest are selected. The winemaking process is equally meticulous, utilizing the latest technologies. Each vat produces a unique wine, the best of which are chosen for Château La Mission Haut-Brion. The wine then ages for 20 to 24 months.
