The vineyard of Domaine Louis Jadot extends across exceptional terroirs, notably those of Chambolle-Musigny, where the clay-limestone soil promotes optimal drainage and perfect ripening of the grapes. The vines, several decades old, plunge their roots into this rich, mineral-rich soil, which allows the Pinot Noir to express its full essence. climat Burgundy's temperate climate, with its hot summers and cold winters, also contributes to the quality of the grapes, offering a perfect balance between ripeness and acidity.

Owner and history

The trading house Louis Jadot The winery has been owned by the Kopf family since 1985 (three sisters). Thomas Seiter has been its president since 2022. Thibault Gagey, son of Pierre-Henry, has also been the managing director since 2022, and Frédéric Barnier is the technical director (who succeeded Jacques Lardière in 2010). Their passion for Burgundy and its terroir is reflected in every bottle, guaranteeing authentic and refined wines that delight wine lovers worldwide.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Louis Jadot It is a meticulous process that respects the fruit. The grapes, harvested by hand, are destemmed and gently crushed before being placed in vats. Alcoholic fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts, promoting the expression of the terroir. Aging occurs in oak barrels, some of which are new, allowing for a subtle touch of wood without masking the fruit. This care taken at each stage, from harvest to aging, guarantees wines of great complexity and unparalleled elegance.
