The Château Lafleur vineyard covers just over 4 hectares in the northeast of the Pomerol plateau. This rare micro-terroir combines a mosaic of deep gravelly, sandy clay, and compact clay soils, giving the estate's wines incomparable richness. The vines, cultivated with great precision, are on average 30 to 50 years old, with deep roots ensuring constant access to mineral resources. This geological diversity, combined with demanding and sustainable viticulture, forges the unique identity and longevity of Lafleur wines.

Owner and history

Château Lafleur has been owned by the Guinaudeau family since 1985. Jacques and Sylvie Guinaudeau, along with their son Baptiste, passionately perpetuate a rigorous, artisanal vision of winemaking. Their meticulous work, guided by sustainable farming practices, aims to best express the subtleties of this unique terroir. Committed to an uncompromising quality approach, they produce rare wines, renowned for their purity, intensity, and aging potential. Thanks to their exacting standards and long-term vision, Château Lafleur is now considered one of Bordeaux's most singular gems.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Lafleur is precise and plot-by-plot. Each batch is vinified separately in concrete tanks to preserve the terroir's identity and the vintage's expression. Extraction is gentle, designed to reveal the fruit's finesse and the grapes' natural structure.
The 2024 vintage benefits from extended aging in French oak barrels (50% new) for approximately 18 months. This patient process refines the wine's character without masking its identity, resulting in balance, depth, and excellent aging potential.
