Owner and history

THE Château Branas Grand Poujeaux was bought in 2002 by Justin Onclin, and since then, the quality has improved vintage after vintage. Today, the Château Branas Grand Poujeaux is a domaine The estate comprises 25 hectares of vines divided into 25 plots. Each plot is vinified separately, allowing the specific terroir of each vineyard to be fully expressed. The ambition of the vineyard and winery team is to produce a highly complex blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Petit Verdot in the most environmentally friendly and sustainable way possible. The wine is crafted by an ambitious team led by Arjen Pen, a winemaker since 2005 in Bordeaux and South Africa. Since 2012, Hubert de Boüard, co-owner of the Château Angélus, works alongside Branas Grand Poujeaux, which he himself designates as one of the best terroirs of the Médoc.

Vinification and aging
