The Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux vineyard is rooted in clay-limestone soils, characteristic of the Côte de Nuits. This terroir, rich in minerals, gives the wines a unique complexity and depth. The vines, several decades old, benefit from optimal sunshine thanks to the southeast orientation of the plots. The altitude and temperate climate of the region allow for slow and even ripening of the grapes, thus guaranteeing an authentic expression of Pinot Noir. Each plot is carefully cultivated to respect the natural balance, and the harvest is done by hand to select only the very best grapes.

Today, Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux is managed by the Arnoux family, who perpetuate the legacy of passion and expertise passed down through generations. Driven by a desire to produce exceptional wines, the current owners are committed to working in harmony with nature. Their dedication to sustainable and respectful viticulture is reflected in every bottle. Thanks to their expertise and love of the terroir, they continue to elevate the estate to the ranks of Burgundy's leading producers.

Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Arnoux-Lachaux is carried out with meticulous care. After hand-harvesting, the grapes are destemmed and gently crushed. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, allowing for precise temperature control and optimal aroma extraction while preserving freshness. The wine is then aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, for approximately 12 to 18 months. This aging process adds further complexity to the wine, subtly integrating the oak notes. Bottling is done unfiltered to preserve the wine's purity and authenticity.
