    Owner and history

    The Maremma is a region near Tuscany in Italy. Located on the coast, the vineyard, covering approximately one hundred hectares, benefits from the maritime influence and the hills that protect it from the winds blowing in from the plains. Sassicaia means "land scattered with stones," a fitting description for the gravelly soils that make up its soils. All these elements promote the full ripening of the grapes, resulting in perfectly healthy grapes with a character reminiscent of Bordeaux.
