Owner and history

The vineyard is situated on a ridge, known as the "Mouton plateau." This exceptional terroir is composed of very deep gravelly soils resting on a limestone subsoil. The rolling hills allow for good water drainage towards the Gironde estuary, thus promoting ideal natural drainage for the vines. Le Petit Mouton de Mouton Rothschild benefits from exceptional natural conditions, both in terms of the quality of its gravelly soils and its exposure to sunlight.

Vinification and aging

The winemaking process follows traditional methods. The wine is aged in barrels.
