The Château Langoa Barton vineyard stretches across clay-gravel soils typical of the Saint-Julien region. These well-drained soils allow the vine roots to penetrate deeply, promoting optimal expression of the grape varieties. Bordeaux's temperate oceanic climate, with its hot summers and mild winters, contributes to the harmonious ripening of the grapes. The vines, some several decades old, are cultivated with care, resulting in controlled yields and exceptional quality.

    Owner and history

Today, Château Langoa Barton is managed by the Barton family, who carry on the family tradition with passion and dedication. The current owners, Damien and Mélanie Barton, are committed to producing exceptional wines while respecting the environment and the terroir. Their vision is to combine family heritage with modern winemaking practices, aiming to strengthen the estate's identity. Thanks to their expertise and passion, they continue to elevate Château Langoa Barton wines to the ranks of Bordeaux's finest.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château Langoa Barton is a meticulous process, blending tradition and modernity. The grapes, carefully selected by hand, are destemmed before being vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruitiness. Malolactic fermentation takes place in barrels, adding complexity and roundness to the wine. Aging lasts approximately 16 months in oak barrels, a third of which are new, allowing the aromas to develop while respecting the varietal character. This care at every stage guarantees the quality and authenticity of the wines.
