Owner and history

THE Château La Lagune is currently run by the Frey family, who have managed to preserve the heritage of domaine while bringing a modern and dynamic vision. Under their leadership, the domaine has implemented environmentally friendly practices, thus reinforcing its commitment to sustainable viticulture. The Frey family is also involved in various initiatives aimed at promoting the Haut-Médoc appellation and highlighting the unique characteristics of its wines. Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Château La Lagune is a meticulous process, blending tradition and technological innovation. The grapes, harvested by hand, are carefully selected before being destemmed. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled tanks, allowing for precise temperature control and optimal extraction of aromas. After fermentation, the wine is aged in oak barrels, some of which are new, for 12 to 18 months. This aging process imparts structure and complexity to the wine, while respecting the unique character of the terroir.
