The encounter between Athanase de Villermont, an aristocrat, and two Champagne enthusiasts:Joseph Bollingerand Paul Renaudin gave birth in 1829 to theBollinger HouseOver the generations, the house has faced numerous challenges. However, thanks to Jacques Bollinger's perseverance, the House continued to expand its vineyards and its reputation continues to grow. Elisabeth Law de Lauriston-Boubers took over the reins of the House following the death of her husband, Jacques Bollinger. Known to all as "Mrs. BollingerThis will breathe new life into the estate to ensure its continued development. Subsequent generations will strive to preserve the history of the House. Indeed, of its 174 hectares of vines, 85% of the estate is classified asGrands and Premiers CrusSpread across seven main vineyards, it is one of the few Champagne Houses to produce the majority of the grapes used for its blends. The master grape variety ofBollinger HousePinot Noir accounts for 60% of the vineyard's plantings.
