The Domaine Raveneau vineyard is situated on southeast-facing slopes, benefiting from optimal sunshine. The soils are primarily composed of Kimmeridgian limestone, a clay-limestone terroir that imparts a distinctive mineral character to the wines. The vines, planted with cover crops and cultivated using sustainable practices, promote biodiversity and soil health. This approach allows for perfectly ripe grapes, reflecting the authentic character of the Chablis terroir.

    Owner and history

Today, the estate is run by the descendants of the Raveneau family, who passionately carry on the family tradition. Their expertise is passed down from generation to generation, with meticulous attention to every detail. The owners are committed to producing wines of exceptional quality while respecting the environment. Their vision is clear: to create wines that reveal the very essence of Chablis, while preserving the winemaking heritage of their region.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Raveneau is carried out with the utmost care. The hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed to extract the juice. Fermentation takes place in oak barrels, some of which are new, allowing for complexity and richness without masking the fruit. The wine is then aged for 12 months on its lees, promoting a harmonious integration of aromas. After light fining, the wines are racked and bottled. This artisanal method preserves the wine's unique character while giving it a beautiful structure.
