The Domaine Faiveley vineyard rests on clay-limestone soils, typical of the Côte de Nuits, which foster a rich expression of Pinot Noir. The vines, some several decades old, are carefully cultivated to optimize grape quality. The southeast exposure of the Cazetiers vineyards allows for optimal ripening, capturing the warmth of the morning sun. The temperate climate, with warm summers and cold winters, contributes to the concentration of aromas and the structure of the wines. Vineyard practices that respect the terroir guarantee a harvest of healthy, ripe grapes, essential for winemaking.

    Owner and history

Today, Domaine Faiveley is managed by the Faiveley family, who perpetuate a legacy of passion for winemaking. Under the guidance of the sixth generation, the estate continues to evolve while remaining true to its values. The owners are committed to respecting the environment and showcasing the Burgundy terroir. Their dedication to quality and authenticity is reflected in every bottle, making Faiveley a key player in Burgundy. Thanks to their vision, the estate has established itself as a pillar of French winemaking excellence.

    Vinification and aging

Winemaking at Domaine Faiveley is a meticulous process, blending tradition and innovation. The grapes are harvested by hand and rigorously sorted to retain only the finest. Fermentation takes place in wooden vats, allowing for a gentle extraction of tannins. Aging occurs in oak barrels, some of which are new, to impart complexity and roundness to the wine. This aging period lasts approximately 12 to 18 months, depending on the vintage, promoting the integration of oak aromas and the maturation of tannins. Each step is carried out with care to guarantee the authentic expression of the terroir.
